Artwork Statement
'I, With In' is a mixed media artwork by artist and transgender rights activist Kalki Subramaniam from India. The work is a Diptych painting with two pieces of half faces which can be juxtaposed or placed for viewing as the artist perceives it to be. The faces are non-binary and transgender in nature, the colours represent their versatility and vibrancy in their personality. The two pieces of artwork represent my love for people like me, the transgender persons.
